Dave, I was wondering if instead of doing the short 15 to 20 minutes of high-intensity cardio you mentioned on your show, I could see the same results over time with a 45 to 60 minute walk?

Your answer, of 6/2/2000, to the question of when to eat after exercise is exactly on the point. Now, as to eat or not to eat before exercising in the morning, if my goal is to lose weight. I understand that, in the morning, after some 12 hours without food ingestion, my body is ready to burn fat and, if I eat, my glycogen level rises and the pathway to burning fat is shut. Am I right? Also, contrary to many recommendations I saw, to eat before exercising, it's when I do that that I'm most likely to feel hypoglycemic.

I have heard conflicting things about when to eat after exercise. Some say don't wait and others things say that in order to burn fat I should wait an hour or two. How long after exercise should I wait to eat?
